A MULTI-DAY DESTINATION WEDDING AT FINCA SERENA, MALLORCA: SOPHIA & HARRY: THE WELCOME EVENTS

Sophia & Harry’s multi-day destination wedding in Mallorca took place at Finca Serena a 5* luxury hotel nestled in the Mallorcan hills. Hired exclusively, this estate offers breathtakingly versatile spaces, with inimitable sunsets and unparalleled 360-degree views surrounding the entire property.
The couple contacted us to be their destination wedding planners as they were based in America with guests scattered internationally around the world. Not only did they want a planner who could curate an epic party, they wanted someone who knew the island and had the knowledge to build trusted relationships overseas and expertly manage the additional logistics and research required to bring a celebration to life in Mallorca.
THE WELCOME EVENT
140 guests flew in from America and China to meet on the Palm terrace to begin Sophia and Harry’s 4-day celebration of love. As well as an introduction to one another, the evening offered a delicious introduction to classic Spanish cuisine, Paella!
The outdoor space was styled with subtle nods to the bride’s Chinese heritage, featuring elegant pops of red throughout. Cosy seating areas were scattered around the terrace, inviting guests to sit, dine, and chat while a live band performed from a hotel balcony above.
A highlight was the Bar Abaco-themed mini ‘his and hers’ cocktail bar, complete with a photobooth set against a fireplace backdrop. An immersive surprise tucked inside the conservatory for guests to discover and enjoy.
THE REHEARSAL DINNER
A smaller, intimate dinner on The Olive Terrace. The rehearsal design blended the colour palette of the welcome event while subtly transitioning toward the aesthetic of the wedding day.
Guests enjoyed a relaxed yet refined four-course, Michelin-starred Spanish dinner with the couple’s closest friends and family, listened to heartfelt speeches and laughed at surprise raps and mic drops.
Contemporary red, orange, and peach florals ran down the centre of the table, while each place setting featured a beautifully patterned chinoiserie Oscar de la Renta plate, paired with a terracotta napkin, black water glass, and mango wood chairs.
