FROM WEDDING DESIGN TO WEDDING REALITY - SYON PARK

Giving you an insight into our wedding planning process by showcasing how we took this Italian Inspired wedding at Syon Park from inspiration to reality.

We take a personalised and atmosphere-led approach to wedding design where every element of your event is planned with precision, creativity, and intentionality. You will feel understood as we help conceptualise and elevate your vision then map out a wow guest experience and wedding design that's both logistically possible and wholly and truly inspired by you and the things you love.

INITIAL DESIGN OVERVIEW

IT BEGINS WITH YOU

We begin with a meeting to have a more undepth chat about your wedding priorities/visions surrounding your venue (and expectations if you don’t have one), the styling and design, and your guests experience. I also get to know you on a more personal level both as a couple and individually. This enables me to really curate an authentic wedding design that is scattered with personal notes, evokes emotion, and feels like home.

Rebecca & James had a love for that relaxed Italian style and cooking pasta together. Sicily in particular was a place very close to their heart as it’s where they went on their first date!

YOUR VENUE

Next, we either organise in a site visit with your booked venue so as your wedding planner I can gather all the information needed and ascertain all the in-depth logistics surrounding your event.  Or I set about sourcing options that align with everything we have discussed, we visit all your wedding venue options together, and work to confirm the one for you.

R&J’s London wedding venue Syon Park has a real Italian feel. It was the perfect venue to turn into an ‘Italian courtyard’ with bistro chairs, parasols, statues, wrought iron furniture, festoon lights, and wild floral installations. The colour palette scattered with pastel blues and ochre yellow perfectly complimented the impressive glass-panelled conservatory backdrop and stone floor.

CLIENT WEDDING PLANNER COLLABORATION

Our process is all about collaborating with you and it’s so important to us that you’re able to enjoy it! Your venue is the foundation of your design guide as we now work out how your guests will move through the spaces and begin pinning on Pinterest, jotting down any ideas for a few weeks. Allowing the creativity flow on both sides!

Rebecca initially came to me as being outside of the UK she wanted someone she could trust to execute her visions for the day and help with all the complex logistics. Working with her was such an exciting collaborative journey, she has an amazing style (as do most of my clients!) but struggled to find a cohesive vision and had no idea what was possible or how to bring everything to life, it was so rewarding seeing our process come to life.

DESIGNING YOUR GUEST EXPERIENCE

As well as designing a beautiful occasion, what we create is completely centred around tantalizing the senses based on what your guests can hear, see, smell, touch, and taste. We then move onto discuss the 2 most important components of your events atmosphere, entertainment and catering.

Guests entered The Great Conservatory via the Catus Room and found their names via an escort table situated under a white parasol. As they sat down each guest opened a small envelope and a personalised note from the couple, it was a beautiful stand-out moment of the day as lots of guests had tears in their eyes at the thoughtful gesture.

They dined on an Italian Cicchetti feast, beginning with a pumpkin and orange blossom risotto, then onto terracotta sharing plates of caprese salad, arancini, meatballs, polenta chips and aubergine dishes, their dessert was a pistachio and Sicilian lemon doughnut or Nutella chocolate mousse. Guests also drank the wine from the couple’s favourite winery they love to visit together.

This is also where you can break any rules of tradition and design a completely bespoke wow-factor experience which is authentic to your wedding day!

Conscious that after the previous few years, Rebecca and James hadn’t been able to see their close family and friends and wanted to spend as much time enjoying the day with them. We, therefore, planned for the family, wedding party, and couples portraits to take place at Syon House and its beautiful grounds pre-ceremony. This meant as soon as they were married the couple could enjoy all their time at the courtyard drinks reception with their 120 guests with no interruptions!

YOUR DESIGN GUIDE

When creating your final design guide, every logistical, operational, and creative detail is considered prior to your occasion as we work together to curate a perfectly balanced itinerary that combines unique eating and drinking experiences, awe-inspiring entertainment, and a stunning design that boasts the authenticity of you.

I have shared the overview page of R&J’s initial wedding design, giving you a small insight into our wedding planning process by showcasing how we took this Italian Inspired wedding at Syon Park from inspiration to reality.

Once your design guide is finalised we then begin sourcing you a team of industry creatives that relate to your style, budget, and wedding design. Presenting them with such an intricate and detailed visual guide enables them to use their own specialised expertise and creativity so we can work together to elevate your wedding experience beyond your expectations

THE REALITY

EMILY WENT ABOVE & BEYOND

”Just hire In Awe Weddings - you won't regret it! As an international bride I could not see our wedding venue before we booked so I needed a planner that could visualize what to do with the space (a dry hire venue) to bring it to life. Style is very important to me so I needed someone I could trust to do this. Emily took my many terribly worded descriptions and countless random images to create a coherent vision for the look and feel of the day. She of course also handled all the admin (which is no small feat) of our wedding planning too.

I have no doubt that Emily put in more hours than we expected or was quoted for. On the day, she handled everything seamlessly and went above and beyond, always adding a thoughtful touch. Every guest had a story or comment the next day on what Emily had done for them and how impressed they were. We can't thank her enough!'“
