A BRITISH COUNTRY MARQUEE WEDDING WEEKEND

Kristina and Nick’s British country marquee wedding took place at a beautiful country house wedding venue in West Sussex. Findon Place is a privately-owned estate, gracefully nestled within the South Downs National Park. This Georgian masterpiece retains its stunning original features, while having been meticulously renovated with a blend of timeless and elegant yet relevant decor. Surrounded by manicured lawns, vibrant floral borders, and lush gardens, the estate offers a serene and picturesque setting. Complete with a swimming pool, tennis court, and various sophisticated entertaining spaces, this majestic property is perfect for entertaining guests.
The couple contacted us to be their UK wedding planners, with the main priority being for their day to be not only fun but a reflection of what they love. An occasion that felt like home. We assisted in weaving Kristina & Nick’s musical, visual, and culinary loves throughout their wedding day.
The ceremony took place at St Mary The Virgin Church, just 10 minutes from Findon Place. We elevated the beautiful village church with a floral arch entrance on the outside and inside with a rambling floral installation along the beautiful golden fencing and lectern.
Kristina walked down the aisle to the traditional wedding march and they recessed into a flurry of confetti before getting into an Aston Martin and driving off into the countryside to reconvene with guests for the drinks reception.
After the ceremony guests were guided to the secluded rear gardens of the wedding venue and treated to Pimm’s and Nyetimber. The focus was good old-fashioned fun, lawn games, roaming oyster shuckers, the classic tones of Jazz, and not forgetting silver coupes full of crisps and olives the couple’s favourite pub snacks!
Before taking their seats, guests were asked to find their name on a pub-inspired coaster which corresponded to their table, also named after K&N’s local haunts.
The white shelter of the marquee was softened with lush greenery foliage installations climbing the poles and bursting with foliage, lightly covering the ceiling. As guests ascended the grass towards the marque they were met with a beautiful 360 floral install climbing the 3 end poles, a wow-entrance for guests and a beautiful backdrop for the jazz band to stand in front of as they serenaded dinner.
Dinner unfolded as a curated journey through the newlyweds’ favourite dishes all cooked using locally sourced ingredients, communicated via striped menus that hosted images of their beloved dog Willow serving the meal. Guests revelled in the celebration as it grew, flowing effortlessly into the evening and setting the perfect tone for the party to come.
K&N’s Love for theatre played a huge part in the party design. A truss over the stage hosted a play on the classic house curtain, and a huge glittering disco ball hung reflecting over the dancefloor.
After dinner guests moved into Findon Place’s Ballroom, greeted with a margherita tower and a DJ live band to ramp up the atmosphere!
Day 2 was a relaxed pool BBQ to reminisce on all the partying the night before and to say farewell. K&N have spent many years watching the Henley Royal Regatta so it was the perfect theme for their first day together as man and wife.
Long tables and lounge seating provided casual areas to relax, chat, and graze on the perfect British BBQ. A roaming band mingled between groups of guests, taking requests and keeping the fun going in the midsummer sun.
Weekend weddings give you the perfect opportunity to make the most of precious time together with all your loved ones and epitomise a wow-factor wedding. They are perfect for couples who revel in socialising and entertaining.

Our wedding was so magical, beautiful and joyful, we almost can’t actually believe it gets to have been ours! Everything was so perfect and we cannot even begin to thank you, not only for pulling it off, but doing it in under 6 months.
You just got what we wanted in a way that sometimes even we didn’t, and interpreted some very vague hand-waving explanations, whilst adding a sprinkle of surprises of your own.
Not only was the whole weekend more than we could have dreamed of, but we have so enjoyed working with you and spending time with you. You are both an incredible wedding planner but also just a wonderful person. We couldn’t have hoped for someone more perfect to steward us through this whirlwind.
Thank you so much for everything you’ve done and for being such a wonderful and very glamorous energy to have around. We miss you already!’
