AN INTIMATE WEDDING IN TUSCANY, ITALY: THE POOL PARTY

Iona & Will’s intimate multi-day destination wedding took place at Il Borgo di Vignamaggio. A historic estate in Tuscany, Italy, where timeless Italian elegance meets understated contemporary luxury. Available for exclusive hire, the Italian wedding venue offers a collection of beautifully restored spaces, from charming courtyards and cypress-lined terraces to its iconic Piazza, Pool and afterparty club.

The couple contacted us to be their destination wedding planners as they wanted an intimate wedding in Italy with an unparalleled guest experience. They wanted someone who would take care of their guests from arrival to departure, whilst planning with the utmost professionalism and discretion.

Day 3 was the ultimate blend of a pool party and après-ski vibes, as guests enjoy the final event at Vignamaggio’s Solario and pool area.

This design was inspired by all the hours Will spent teaching Iona to ski! Red and white striped deckchairs to created a ‘snow beach,’ serpentine tables covered in white florals mimicked the curves of a ski slope and, of course, there was the iconic cheese pasta wheel.

The afternoon in Italy unfolded by a tower of margaritas, hangover-curing BBQ, whilst a DJ and sax took to the stage, guests jumped into the pool, and the fun continued.
