THE TOP 5 BEST UK WEDDING VENUES FOR FOODIES
UK WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE BY EMILY 25TH JUNE 2021
Wedding catering and dining have moved mountains in recent years which for a luxury wedding planner offers a whole other exciting layer to a client’s wedding design. The eclectic mix of cuisines and dining experiences we have access to has got ‘foodies’ wanting to enhance their wedding experience with innovative exceptional catering and has raised the standards hugely in some of the UK’s best wedding venues.
My own journey into the luxury wedding industry began in wedding catering 10 years ago and because I have personally been so heavily involved in restaurant and bar hospitality, I really see the food and drink on your wedding day as part of the whole immersive experience for your guests. It's an opportunity to tell a story, and showcase your personalities.

An incredible Soho House Wedding Venue
Built in 1705, Babington House is a Grade II-listed manor set in 18 acres of English countryside in the heart of Somerset, 30 minutes from Bath. Soho house is at the top of their game for hospitality and I have always loved visiting their venues.
If you want incredible tasting food without any fuss then this is the venue for you. Babington House showcases British food with a Mediterranean influence, using produce grown in their garden, it's hearty, indulgent and feels like home.
On your wedding day, you and your guests dine in this stunning luxury wedding venues orangery overlooking the lake. Your menu can be family-style sharing plates or individual dishes such as buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, Castlemead chicken, chestnut mushrooms and mash and the classic Babington brownie, double chocolate ice cream.

French-inspired Catering Using Local Produce For An Exquisite Foodie Wedding Experience
Pioneering the use of locally sourced produce before it became standard practice, I present UK wedding venue, Langar Hall. Located in the Nottinghamshire countryside Langar Hall keeps the charm and quiet eccentricity of an English country home, with just the right amount of modern to combine the best of the past with the best of the present.
Executive head chef Gary Booth has been part of the team at Langar hall since the year 2000. He has shaped the dining experience throughout the years with fresh, local ingredients, and a rich tapestry of dishes that mix the traditional with the creative.
With a definite french influence dishes include twice-baked cheese souffle, roast monkfish, braised chicory, exmouth mussels, saffron sauce and bitter chocolate cremeux, barley malt, meringue, raspberries.
Michelin Starred Contemporary UK Wedding Venue
Hampton Manor epitomises contemporary in the country and has a rustic, relaxed yet refined feel. Dubbed 'The Foodie Estate' Hampton Manor is all about curating an immersive experience for you designed to revitalise your curiosity and connection.
Also home to a Michelin star their menu really showcases an elevation for humble homegrown ingredients such as the Jerusalem artichoke, British potatoes and classic strawberry.
As one of the best UK wedding venues, Hampton Manor certainly shares In Awe Weddings & Events mottos when it comes to celebrations, with their website stating 'so many of our best memories in life are made around the table and we know your wedding day is not a day to settle'. I couldn't agree more!

Bespoke Menu Creation From a Michelin Starred Chef
Davenport House is a luxury wedding planners dream, the magnificent Grade I listed Georgian country house is located in the heart of Shropshire this UK wedding venue is a beacon of style, class, romance and elegance.
Back in 2019 Michelin starred chef Tom Kerridge took over their catering which now showcases brilliant British produce and draws inspiration from his own venue The Hand & Flowers and The Coach.
When planning your wedding at Davenport House 'Lush by Tom Kerridge' chefs and his kitchen team invite you to choose each element of your bespoke menu at a dedicated tasting.
As food transports us back to places, times and people a bespoke menu gives me and my clients such an incredible opportunity to design something reminiscent that reflects your personality. Emotive food is memorable and impactful when included as part of your wedding experience.
CELESTE AT THE LANESBOROUGH HOTEL
Michelin Starred London Wedding Venue
Regal and elegant Celeste at The Lanesborough Hotel in London exudes class and decadence, and is yet another Michelin starred option to add to my list of best UK wedding venues for foodies.
Honouring British heritage and provenance with modern European creativity, Céleste's aim is to take you on a culinary journey of great flavours and food with a real story. Their head chef Giuseppe Strippoli is a native of the beautiful southern Italian region of Puglia and you can see this translated into their menu in dishes such as the seafood agnolotti with saffron and vermouth.
